This spring, Inheritance of Hope (IoH) volunteer Addy Crow is celebrating a significant milestone: her high school graduation. In a unique and inspiring twist on traditional graduation announcements, Addy has chosen to use this occasion to spread hope to families affected by terminal illness through IoH’s programs.
Addy, seen here serving a family on a Legacy Retreat®, decided that instead of receiving personal gifts or money for her graduation, she wanted her loved ones to donate to IoH. Inside each of her graduation announcements and invitations, she included a card detailing the mission of IoH and encouraged her friends and family to give through her, to inspire hope for families facing unimaginable challenges.
Addy’s selfless act is about more than just forgoing gifts for herself; it’s about treating every family member she serves as God’s favorite child and inviting others to join her in this mission. By doing so, she is helping to support the 7 million people in the U.S. alone who are part of young families facing the loss of a parent.
Her heartfelt request demonstrates a profound commitment to service and empathy. Addy’s initiative will allow more families to experience the transformative power of IoH’s Legacy Retreats® and Hope Hubs™, programs designed to provide hope and support during their most difficult times.
Thank you, Addy, for your incredible generosity and for inspiring us all with your dedication to serving others.
