The United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) has announced the launch of the Center for Leadership Equity, a pioneering initiative aimed at fostering leadership and promoting equity across the region. This new center is designed to address systemic inequities and empower leaders from diverse backgrounds to drive meaningful change in their communities.
The Center for Leadership Equity will offer a range of programs and resources, including leadership training, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement initiatives. These efforts are focused on equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to advocate for equity and inclusion in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and business.
Bill Golderer, President and CEO of UWGPSNJ, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “The Center for Leadership Equity represents a significant step forward in our mission to create a more inclusive and equitable society. To celebrate the launch, UWGPSNJ will host a Leadership Equity Summit on October 15th, 2024.
