In celebration of NICU Awareness Month, 4moms, the innovative baby gear company, has once again joined forces with Project Sweet Peas, a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting NICUs and NICU families. This partnership aims to recognize and honor the exceptional contributions of NICU nurses and caregivers across the country through the “Nominate a NICU Nurse” initiative.
Starting today, individuals whose lives have been touched by a NICU nurse or caregiver can nominate them for the prestigious title of 4moms NICU Nurse of the Year. Nominations can be submitted at 4moms.com/NICUnurse and should include a heartfelt story detailing what makes the nominee special. The evaluation criteria will consider the quality and passion of the submission stories, the accomplishments of the nurse or caregiver, the need for MamaRoo swings at their hospital, and the number of nominations received.
The top nominee will be awarded $4,000, a swag bag, and ten brand new MamaRoo Multi-Motion Baby Swings for their hospital. Additionally, the next ten runners-up will each receive a swag bag and five MamaRoo Swings for their hospitals.
“This NICU Awareness Month, we are proud to partner with Project Sweet Peas to recognize the incredible work done in NICUs across the country,” said Amie Ley Stanton, Senior Director of Marketing at 4moms. “For the past nine years, our 4moms Cares program has donated hundreds of MamaRoo Swings to NICUs and NICU families in need. This September, we are excited to champion the amazing NICU nurses and caregivers who make a difference every day.”
The MamaRoo, known for its natural bouncing and swaying motion, is currently used in over 650 hospitals across all 50 states. It has become a valuable tool for doctors and nurses to safely contain and comfort fragile patients when their families cannot be present.
“We are thrilled to partner with 4moms once again to support and honor NICU nurses,” said Corin Nava, Executive Director and Co-Founder of Project Sweet Peas. “Their dedication and compassion are truly inspiring, and this initiative allows us to give back to those who give so much.”
This initiative marks the second year of the “Nominate a NICU Nurse” program. In 2022, Ronda McCaskey from Cleveland, Ohio’s University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital was named the first 4moms NICU Nurse of the Year.
