Sport Clips Haircuts is once again rallying behind America’s veterans with its annual “Help A Hero” campaign. Launched in partnership with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), this year’s campaign aims to raise $1.5 million to provide scholarships for military veterans transitioning to civilian careers.
From now until November 16, Sport Clips locations across the nation will be accepting donations to support this noble cause. Additionally, Sport Clips will donate $2 from every haircut service provided on Veterans Day, November 11, to the scholarship fund.
The “Help A Hero” scholarship program, established in 2013, has already awarded more than 2,600 scholarships totaling $12.3 million to veterans and their families. These scholarships are instrumental in helping veterans cover the costs of education and training necessary for their career goals.
“Supporting our nation’s heroes as they transition to civilian life is a cause we hold close to our hearts,” said Gordon Logan, founder and chairman of Sport Clips. “The ‘Help A Hero’ campaign is our way of giving back to those who have given so much for our country.”
Veterans from all branches of the military are eligible for the scholarships, which can be used for tuition, fees, and living expenses at trade schools and universities. The initiative has helped countless veterans achieve their dreams and build successful careers in a variety of fields.
In addition to customer donations, Sport Clips team members and franchisees are actively involved in fundraising efforts. Many locations host special events, contests, and promotions to engage their communities and encourage contributions.
The support from Sport Clips customers and the broader community has been overwhelming in past years, and the company hopes to surpass previous records with this year’s campaign. Every dollar raised will go directly to funding scholarships for deserving veterans.
“Education is a critical component of a successful transition from military service to civilian life,” said Tim Smith, VFW National Commander. “The ‘Help A Hero’ scholarships provide vital support to veterans as they pursue their educational and career aspirations.”
As the “Help A Hero” campaign continues to grow, Sport Clips remains committed to honoring and supporting America’s veterans. By providing the resources they need to succeed, the company is helping to create a brighter future for those who have served our nation with honor and bravery.
