Jersey Mike’s Donates 20% of Weekend Sales to Best Buddies International

MANASQUAN, N.J. Jersey Mike’s Subs partnered with Best Buddies International this weekend, donating 20 percent of all sales from its more than 3,100 locations nationwide to support the nonprofit’s mission of inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The donation drive took place on Saturday, Oct. 11, and Sunday, Oct. 12.

Best Buddies International is a global nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for people with IDD.

“We are pleased to announce that Jersey Mike’s is supporting another Best Buddies Special Weekend… to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” said Charlie Morrison, CEO of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems LLC.

Jersey Mike’s is also working directly with Best Buddies to establish employment opportunities for individuals with IDD within its restaurants. Currently, 11 Jersey Mike’s locations employ this workforce, with plans for a broader rollout.

“Jersey Mike’s commitment to Best Buddies shows the powerful difference businesses can make when they lead with purpose,” said Anthony K. Shriver, founder, chairman, and CEO of Best Buddies International. Shriver added that the commitment to employing individuals with IDD “strengthens workplace culture and delivers measurable benefits to the bottom line.”

The partnership reflects Jersey Mike’s mission statement of “Giving… making a difference in someone’s life.”
