AMARILLO, Texas — ProLift Garage Doors of Amarillo announced Wednesday it will host its third annual food drive this weekend to benefit FILL WITH HOPE, a nonprofit dedicated to combatting student hunger in Canyon ISD schools.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the United Supermarket, located at 201 N 23rd Street in Canyon, Texas.
Franchise owner David Manley emphasized the growing necessity of the annual drive, which reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to community support.
“Every child deserves to go to school without worrying about where their next meal will come from,” Manley said. “FILL WITH HOPE has made an incredible impact right here in our community, and we’re honored to stand alongside them in their mission. The need continues to grow each year, which makes this food drive more important than eve1r.”
FILL WITH HOPE provides weekend food bags and resources to students facing food insecurity, ensuring that hunger does not impede their ability to learn and thrive. The organization serves more than 1,600 children at 23 schools across the 732 square miles of Canyon ISD.
For those unable to attend in person, an Amazon Wishlist has been created for supporters to donate items online.
