The holiday season—that magical time when the world seems to pause, and our hearts swell with gratitude and the spirit of giving. Here at Heartitude.com, we believe that true fulfillment comes from connecting purpose with action, and there is no greater purpose than helping others find stability and belonging.
That’s why we are so inspired by the incredible initiative from Habitat for Humanity International and its generous corporate partners. Throughout the 2025 holiday season and into the new year, they are uniting to support the powerful mission of making safe, affordable homeownership a reality for families both here in the U.S. and around the world.
The Power of “Home”
A home is more than just four walls; it is the foundation for a prosperous and vibrant life. It’s where memories are made, traditions are shared, and futures are built. As Charlita Stephens-Walker, vice president of corporate partnerships at Habitat for Humanity, noted, the season “reminds us of the importance of giving back to our local communities and supporting the causes we care about.”
The greatest form of Heartitude is finding simple, meaningful ways to infuse your daily life with kindness. This year, you don’t have to overhaul your routine; you simply need to channel your existing holiday hustle towards a greater good.
How to Practice Heartitude Through Giving:
This season, these incredible corporate partners are offering easy ways to turn your holiday shopping and dining into direct support for building hope:
- Decorate with Purpose at At Home: The Home Décor Superstore is offering Habitat-branded home décor items. A portion of sales from these items will contribute to their minimum donation of $150,000, helping families achieve safe housing.
- Round Up Kindness at Lowe’s: Through February 1, 2026, you can simply round up your in-store purchase to the nearest dollar. Habitat for Humanity will receive 50% of the total funds raised in this collective act of generosity.
- Sweeten the Deal at Lazy Dog Restaurants: Purchase a DIY Gingerbread House Kit as part of their Houses for the Holidays™ campaign in November and December. The net proceeds go directly to supporting Habitat’s work, contributing to their annual minimum donation of $100,000.
- Gift with Heart at QVC: Look for their annual Living for Giving campaign! On Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2025) and throughout December, QVC will match customer contributions up to $100,000. Plus, many of their charitable efforts dedicate 75% of funds to Habitat’s Women Build program, which empowers women to build homes and advocate for affordable housing.
- Effortless Giving at Floor & Décor: From Nov. 17 through Dec. 26, 2025, simply add a donation to your in-store purchase at checkout to share the spirit of giving.
- Giving Without Spending Extra via Giftcards.com: Through their One4all® Giving Good gift cards, you can elect to have BHN donate 3% of the redeemed amount to Habitat—at no cost to you!
This holiday season, let’s remember that the spirit of joy is amplified when shared. By supporting the businesses that support Habitat for Humanity, your gifts, your décor, and even your dinner become small steps in the grand journey of building a better future—one home, one community, and one heart at a time.
