Corporate Leadership in Giving Recognized Nationwide

NEW YORK — A new national ranking is shining a spotlight on companies demonstrating measurable commitment to communities across the United States, recognizing 300 organizations for leadership in philanthropy, volunteering and social impact.

The list, released by Newsweek in partnership with Statista, evaluates the nation’s largest companies based on charitable giving, employee volunteerism and community investment. The recognition reflects a growing emphasis on corporate responsibility as a driver of both business success and societal well-being.

The ranking draws from analysis of corporate responsibility reports, public data and an independent survey of 18,000 individuals assessing each company’s philanthropic reputation. Together, these measures highlight organizations that are embedding service and compassion into their operational DNA.

“America’s Most Charitable Companies 2026” underscores a broader trend in which businesses are increasingly expected to contribute meaningfully to the communities where they operate. Companies included in the ranking have demonstrated sustained efforts to support nonprofits, expand access to resources and mobilize employees in service initiatives.

That momentum is echoed in individual company recognition tied to the ranking. In a related announcement, one honoree reported 96,000 employee volunteer hours and $5.2 million in community investment, along with support for 2,400 nonprofits, illustrating the scale of impact achievable through coordinated corporate engagement.

As organizations continue to align business outcomes with human-centered values, the ranking highlights how structured generosity can influence culture, strengthen communities and inspire collective action.

Bruce Petillo, founder of Heartitude, said the recognition reflects a deeper shift in how organizations define success. “When companies lead with empathy and invest in people, they create a ripple effect that strengthens entire communities and reminds us that business can be a powerful force for good.”
