This initiative underscores SEG’s commitment to honoring and supporting the families of fallen and disabled military members through educational scholarships.
A Tribute to Heroes: How You Can Participate
From now until June 18, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie customers have the opportunity to contribute to this noble cause while shopping at their local stores. Shoppers can donate $1, $5, or simply round up their grocery bill to the nearest dollar at checkout. This simple act of generosity allows customers to pay tribute to U.S. military heroes and support the families who have sacrificed so much for our nation.
Memorial Day Weekend Matching Program
In observance of Memorial Day, SEG, together with its charitable arm, the SEG Gives Foundation, will match all customer donations made from May 24 to May 27. This matching program doubles the impact of each donation, ensuring that every cent contributed will help provide scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled military members.

Folds of Honor: Honoring Sacrifice Through Education
Folds of Honor, founded by Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen and disabled military service members. Since its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded over 52,000 scholarships, totaling about $244 million. These scholarships support private school tuition, tutoring for children in grades K-12, and tuition for college, technical or trade schools, and post-graduate work.
The Impact of SEG’s Support
Since beginning its partnership with Folds of Honor in 2018, SEG has donated more than $7.5 million, providing over 1,500 educational scholarships. This ongoing support from SEG, its customers, and associates significantly impacts the lives of military families, helping to secure brighter futures for the children and spouses of those who have served our country.
