Mom’s Meals Exceeds 2024 Hunger Challenge Goal, Donates Over 37,000 Meals

Mom’s Meals, a leading provider of medically tailored meals, has surpassed its 2024 Hunger Challenge goal, significantly contributing to the fight against nutrition insecurity. The company donated 37,470 meals in 2024, exceeding its target of 30,000 meals. This achievement brings the total number of meals donated over the past five years to 80,419.

“Surpassing our goal for the Hunger Challenge initiative aligns directly with our mission of improving life through better nutrition at home,” said Chris Choi, CEO of Mom’s Meals. “It’s not just about the number of meals donated, but about ensuring vulnerable individuals have access to the proper nutrition they need to thrive.”

Mom’s Meals collaborates with health plans, healthcare providers, state and local governments, and community-based organizations to ensure equitable food access. These partnerships aim to reduce nutrition insecurity, improve health outcomes, and lower healthcare costs. In the past six years, the company has donated nearly $256,000 worth of ingredients to local food banks and 83,775 shelf-stable meals to community-based organizations.

Employees of Mom’s Meals also play a crucial role in these efforts. Over the past 12 years, they have donated over 9,500 pounds of food during employee-led food drives and packaged over 60,000 meals for Meals from the Heartland. Additionally, employees have contributed $10,000 to American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts.

The company’s commitment to reducing nutrition insecurity is evident in its continuous efforts to support vulnerable populations. Through innovative programs and policies, Mom’s Meals aims to ensure that everyone has access to the nutrition they need to lead healthy lives.
