Dutch Bros Coffee will hold its annual “Drink One for Dane” day on Friday, May 17, the company announced. This annual event honors co-founder Dane Boersma, who passed away from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 2009.
On this day, Dutch Bros will donate a portion of the proceeds from every drink sold across all of its locations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to support ALS research and care.
“Drink One for Dane” has become a significant fundraising event for ALS, reflecting Boersma’s legacy and the company’s commitment to giving back to the community. Customers are encouraged to visit any Dutch Bros location on May 17 to participate by purchasing their favorite beverage.
Over the years, Dutch Bros and its customers have collectively raised millions of dollars through this annual initiative, making a substantial impact on the fight against ALS. The company emphasizes that the day is not only about fundraising but also about remembering Dane Boersma and raising awareness for ALS.
Details about the total amount raised will typically be announced by Dutch Bros following the event.
