PuroClean, a leading property restoration and remediation franchise, wrapped up its annual PuroClean Cares® National Superhero Day campaign by honoring local heroes across the country for their service and dedication to their communities.
The campaign, launched in celebration of National Superhero Day on April 28, recognized individuals nominated by PuroClean franchise owners for their exceptional contributions. Honorees included first responders, educators, healthcare workers, volunteers, and other community members who have made a lasting impact.
“National Superhero Day is about honoring the real-life heroes who consistently, but all too often quietly, uplift their local communities,” said Steve White, president and COO of PuroClean. “This initiative allows our franchise owners to recognize those who embody the spirit of service and compassion.”
Among the honorees were:
- Harrison Smith, of Long Island Cares, recognized by Caroline Bonnen of PuroClean in Greenlawn, N.Y., for his work fighting food insecurity and coordinating disaster relief.
- Joe Matuscak, chief marketing and development officer of Riveon Mental Health and Recovery, honored by Trey and Janice Bell of PuroClean in Elyria, Ohio, for his community impact.
- Clifford Opelt, fire chief of Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company in Pennsylvania, celebrated by Avi Sohal and the PuroClean of Gilbert team with a backyard barbecue and a $1,000 donation.
- Larry Reitzer, board president of Hilo Education Arts Repertory in Hawaii, recognized by Gregory and Kimberly Arianoff of PuroClean of Hilo for his work with at-risk youth.
The campaign was embraced by more than a dozen PuroClean locations nationwide, reinforcing the company’s commitment to community engagement through its PuroClean Cares® initiative.
