The Fresh Market Raises Over $21,000 for Alzheimer’s Association Through Sweet Partnership

GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Fresh Market has announced a donation of more than \$21,000 to the Alzheimer’s Association, raised through a June fundraising campaign in collaboration with celebrity chef Carla Hall. The initiative centered around Hall’s Sweet Heritage Butter Tarts, with 10% of each sale going directly to support Alzheimer’s research and care.

The campaign, which ran throughout June, culminated in a total contribution of \$21,541.70. The funds will aid the Alzheimer’s Association in its mission to provide care, support services, and advance research toward a cure for the disease, which affects nearly 7 million Americans.

“This cause is close to our hearts at The Fresh Market,” said Emily Turner, Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re incredibly grateful to the Alzheimer’s Association, Carla Hall, and—most importantly—our guests for helping us reach our fundraising goals.”

Carla Hall, known for her appearances on Bravo’s Top Chef, ABC’s The Chew, and various Food Network shows, has long supported Alzheimer’s advocacy, inspired by her grandmother’s experience with the disease. “Y’all didn’t just treat yourselves — you helped raise more than \$21,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association,” Hall said. “Let’s keep showing up for each other and keep working to #ENDALZ — one bite at a time!”

Sarah Fried, Vice President of Corporate Initiatives at the Alzheimer’s Association, praised the partnership: “Alzheimer’s impacts millions of families, and collaborations like this help fund critical care and research while encouraging others to join the fight.”
