NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Bridgestone Retail Operations is celebrating a decade-long partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America by launching surprise donations and special giving campaigns aimed at supporting youth across the country.
The initiative, part of Bridgestone’s “Driving Great Futures” program, includes a two-week fundraising competition in collaboration with NFL players from Tight End University (TEU). The campaign encourages players to raise money for their hometown Boys & Girls Clubs, with the top fundraiser receiving an additional $50,000 for their local club.
“We are incredibly proud of the $20 million milestone because it demonstrates the profound impact we can make when we work together to build a better future for the next generation,” said Marko Ibrahim, president of Bridgestone Retail Operations.
Since the partnership began in 2015, Bridgestone has contributed more than $20 million to Boys & Girls Clubs through customer and employee donations collected at over 2,200 retail locations. The funds have helped address transportation and technology needs, including the purchase of 51 vans and new computers and hotspots for club programming and virtual learning.
NFL players participating in the TEU Summit in Nashville will engage with local club members through activities designed to inspire and empower youth. TEU, founded by George Kittle, Travis Kelce and Greg Olsen, brings together tight ends from across the league to build community and give back.
“One of the best parts of TEU is our commitment to give back to the local community,” Kelce said. “We’re excited to be working with our great partners to help raise funds for the Boys & Girls Club and have a ton of fun with the BGCA young people.”
Jim Clark, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, praised Bridgestone’s continued support.
“Not only has this partnership made Clubs more accessible to youth, but these efforts have strengthened our organization’s mission to help kids and teens realize their full potential,” Clark said.
The campaign aligns with Bridgestone’s E8 Commitment, focusing on values such as empowerment and emotion to foster a sustainable and inclusive society.
